Doc Talk
What is Doc Talk?
DCMS “Doc Talk” is a public service event that has been held for the eight years. Medical Society physicians, staff and community health care professionals donate their services to this health education event, most recently held at the Capital City Mall. The doctors have information available on various health topics and encourage area residents to stop by and ask questions about health issues of interest or concern.
“DCMS sponsors this event so we can help more members of the community. We invite everyone with questions to attend, especially those who may not see medical professionals on a frequent basis” says Dr. Andrew Richards, chair of the event and past-president of the Society.

2011 Doc Talk a Success!
The eighth annual “Doc Talk” health education event was held Saturday, March 26, at the Capital City Mall. We had a great turnout with a lot of positive feedback from both the participating practices and the public.
We would especially like to thank our sponsors, HealthAmerica, Highmark, and United Healthcare. Their support enabled us to provide this public health service.
Doc Talk provides an opportunity for Medical Society physicians, staff and community health care professionals to donate their services and provide information on various health topics. Area residents are encouraged to stop by and ask questions about health issues of interest or concern. This event offers registrants free exposure for their practice or organization, and provides members with an opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise with those who might not have ready access to medical care.
We would like to thank the registrants for their enthusiasm and willingness to donate their time for the past eight events. We would also like to thank Dr. Andrew Richards, Chair of the Doc Talk Task Force, for all of his assistance in planning this event. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2012!
